This was one of the last trips I ever got to take with my dad as he passed away a few years later from Cancer. Nothing like a day on the Bay of Quinte to make you feel alive
On the Ottawa River with my still PB pike at just under 15lbs. Thought he was all tired out but he had one last kick in him right as this picture was being taken!
This picture was taken by Italo Labignan himself on a fishing trip I won. He said we could fish any body of water in Ontario so I chose Bay of Quinte for walleye. BOQ is a world famous for the size and quantity of walleye and this guy which is my new PB came in at just under 11 lbs. That day was one of my most memorable days on the water ever. Just the knowledge I got from Italo was worth the trip. I caught this with a D10 crank in clown colour about 7ft from shore in a nice shallow spot that merged into a nice 20ft drop off. The fish smashed my crank bait and played me for around 4 minutes until it was netted photographed and returned for future opportunities
This picture was taken by Italo Labignan during a trip I had gone with him to the BOQ from a contest I won. This walleye to this day is still my persoanl Best at just under 11 lbs. I caught it on a D10 crank working a shallow to deep drop off 7ft from shore. It smashed my crank in a pile of weeds I was reeling in over and was an amazing fight
