George Lake is an excellent smallmouth fishery. After the lakes in the area began to recover from acidification George Lake was stocked with smallmouth in 1998, if I recall correctly, and they are now getting big. Drop-shotting over rock falls is an easy way to get some bronzeback action, and topwater lures like Chug Bugs are also productive. My son caught this one, and that's my ugly mug behind it.
