There is nothing like an evening beside the lake after a day of bass fishing.

Caught this walleye on a white...

Caught this walleye on a chartreuse and white Strike King spinnerbait right near the surface. Thought it was a small pike until I saw the fin break the surface. It was a nice surprise as walleye are very rare in this small lake. Successfully released it right after this photo was taken to produce the next generation. Sorry about the picture quality.

Caught this chunky little...

Caught this chunky little smallmouth while fishing for Northern Pike with Berkeley Hollow Belly Swim Baits at a private fishing camp in Lavant, Ontario. Cast close to a fallen tree and it hit like a truck.

Last fish of the night

After a very unproductive opening night of the season at the locks in Bobcaygeon, Ontario, my brother-in-law and I were almost out of minnows. I threw one of the last live ones into the current and hooked this beauty in about 2 feet of water. I thought I'd hooked bottom until my line started to move sideways. A nice 27-incher that we proudly released. What a way to finish the night!
