Glimpse lake
located approx. 30km from Merritt along hwy 5A to Douglas lake road then turn on to Lauder road then 10km to Glimpse lake. there are two Ministry of Tourism Campsites located on the lake..the South Campsite has 8 tables and firepits with a small dock...The North Campsite has 16 tables and firepits with a cartop launching area and a small dock these sites are well maintained and are open from May 1st to Sept 30th...lots of fish up to 3lbs. a good lake to take the kids as fishing can be done from the shore.
Peterhope lake
located 47km from Merritt and 50km from Kamloops on Hwy 5A contains only Rainbow trout up to 16lbs..there is a Ministry of Tourism campsite located on the north end of the lake.the campsite has 27 sites with firepits and tables. there are two boat launches with day use parking. the favorite flies for this lake are Blood worms and leech patterns.there is a bait ban on this lake.the lake is closed to fishing from Dec. 1st to April 30th...
