The end of a hot summer day on Sheridan lake. The cool shade is comforting as we quietly watch some evening risers here and there around the boat. It is times like this that make all the packing and travelling well worth the effort.
This is taken at Sheridan Lake BC ...it seems these rainbows are a little aggressive when it comes to looking for a spawning stream...there is a small amount of freshwater seepage at this location and I reckon the fish wind up and try and jump this barrier....unfortunately they just land on grassy British Columbia and flip flop back in the water. This goes on for days at this location by many active participants. They seem to always make it back to the water. That is not water flow at the lake edge....it is the fishes splash as it jumps.
Here is a webcam that gives a great shot of the Sheridan Lake...it works all year around......http://www.beddowtree.com/sheridan/lake.htm and http://gusscales.blogspot.com/
