Just a reminder to everyone fishing lake char in region 7 (Or anywhere else), watch the regs carefully. Lots of lakes including cluculz and bednesti are catch and release only. I've seen some pretty rough handling of char and even a couple killed over the last couple years in non retention lakes. Char grow and reproduce extremely slowly compared to trout and are NOT stocked. Fisheries had good reason to change the regs. There's no reason we can't get these lakes back to how they used to be. Educate yourself on the regs and the fish, pinch your barbs and use single hooks and soft/rubber mesh nets. I want my kids to enjoy the quality fishing I grew up with and I'm sure most of you do too.
