I approached the trip with high expectations, yet I returned with little more than white suckers and a selection of unimpressive creek fish. The drive was quite taxing on my vehicle. There are certainly other lakes in the vicinity, more easily accessible, such as Belanger Lake, where I’ve previously had success with trout. I had hoped the off-road journey would be worthwhile, but ultimately, it served only to provide some scenic views. My attempts with worms, shrimp, and spinners proved fruitless, and I gave up!
