I drove all the way from Winnipeg to Patterson for day fishing back in Early November and we got skunked on the day except for a big brown trout that slipped my grip at he hole and watch it swim away. I left the lake feeling traumatized that I lost a fish of a life time. For the last 4 months I have been thinking about that trout day in and day out, in fact it was eating me up. I said the hell with it and decided to go back again, I asked my buddies no one wanted to make a day trip there. I went by myself and honestly was the best decision I made. I ended up getting the one that got away and redeemed myself and bonus bragging points to the buddies that didn’t wanna come with. Funny part is I almost never caught, I ran to the hole from 10 ft away and almost lost my rod down the hole and all lol.
