This was a great catch of a beautiful Pigeon Lake Walleye. It was caught on a 1/4 oz jig head tipped with a minnow. It was on our camera on and off for over 30 minutes just coming in for a view then heading off to the background to hang in the shadows. It came in probably 6 different times to view the jigging Rapala that I had on my line but would never come closer than 2 feet. Finally my wife dropped her jig onto the lake bottom and it came up within 6" for a closer look. After keeping it completely still for about 2 minutes the Walleye finally came closer and sucked it off the bottom. It was live released as it was over our tag size. Great coloring and very thick Walleye.

This 48 cm Walleye was caught at Pigeon lake and live released. Beautiful day for ice fishing. It was over our tag size but was a fun catch just the same.
