My wife Shirley is an avid fisherman and this was her biggest smallmouth bass of the year. It was caught in about 3 feet of water along a rocky shoreline. The water quickly deepen to about 25 feet 20 feet from the shore. Boating the fish was a bit like a circus with many attempts netting it. Once on board a few quick photos and released it. It was caught on a Rapala red shap rap. She has a very good eye for fishing structure and caught many more around the same size during the year.
