I've fished it for 11 years as well. I'm local, spend 100 of hours on Wasi and I've never caught one before either but 2 years ago ice fishing, I pulled a hammer handle out of the hole in my hut and I couldn't believe it either. Let's just say it's no longer in the lake

My dD and my self have places on wasi first time ever this year we got 2 pike both over 30" and the wasi lodge guy just got one over 35" through the ice

I have photos of the pike they did not stay in the lake.. But I firmly believe because of the massive flooding their is pike and more than a few..
