lake was stocked with splake years ago

This lake had a natural lake trout population. Some gentlemen in the area say they were catching 20+ lb fish over 30 years ago. Then it was stocked with splake for a number of years. Mnr stocking data shows it was stocked with 12000 yearling rainbow trout in 2005. In 2008 and 2010 it was stocked 300 and 400 brook trout fry. I don't know why this lake is not stocked annually.

Stocked in 2005, but watched pick chase swarms of them that year... bought a fly rod that year thinking I could get lucky in the fall, but never saw a single fish.
