Lodging and Camping

Humamilt Lake East Recreation Site is a small site located on the south east side of the Lake adjacent to the Humamilt Lake Forest Service Road. It is more suited as a day use site.

Turn off the Trans Canada Highway at Scotch Creek and continue past the town of St. Ives and onto Seymour Arm Main Forest Service Road. Follow for 32 km then watch for a junction shortly after Albas Provincial Park. Reset your odometer at the junction and turn left onto the secondary forest service road. At 6.5 km there is a Y junction, take the left fork and immediately cross a bridge. Continue to the rec site at 10 km on your odometer.

Near the east end there are two forestry sites, one along the south shore and one along the north. This picture is from the north forestry sight looking towards the group of islands.

Boat launch at the Forestry Campsite on the middle lake. You have to slide your boat down the logs to get it to the lake. Nice campsite. There is a better launch at the east end of the east lake.

Three interconnected scenic lakes with at least 3 different Forestry campsites that are all beautiful.
