Whitespotted Greenling

The Whitespotted Greenling can be found in the coastal areas of the North Pacific Ocean, from Japan to the state of Oregon, USA. They are primarily found in the intertidal zone, to a depth of 175 meters, near rocks, pilings, and eelgrass beds. This species feeds on worms, crustaceans, and small fishes. Whitespotted greenlings are a light brownish-green in colour, with darker blotches and distinct white spots, and can reach a maximum size of 19 inches in length.
