Threadfin sculpin are found in the Eastern Pacific, specifical from Chirikof Island in the western Gulf of Alaska to Point Loma and Cortez Bank, southern California, USA. They are commonly found on sand and mud bottoms. Threadfin sculpin can be live at depths of 18 to 800 meters. Threadfin sculpin feed on crustaceans, including shrimps and isopods.
