Roughback Sculpin are found in the eastern Pacific Ocean from British Columbia, Canada to southern Baja California, Mexico. This species can be found on sandy or muddy bottoms from the intertidal zone to a depth of 142 meters (466 ft). Roughback Sculpin grow to a length of 23 centimeters (9.1 in).
