Puget Sound Rockfish
Sebastes emphaeus

Puget Sound Rockfish
Puget sound rockfish are found in the Northeast Pacific, specifically from Kenai Peninsula, Alaska to northern California, USA. They inhabit reefs and rocky shorelines from depths of 0 to 366 meters. Puget sound rockfish are found in loose congregations hovering above the bottom or, resting among caves and crevices. They will also seek shelter in areas of strong current. The flesh of a Puget sound rockfish is tasty and flaky, but since it is rarely caught, it is seldom used as a food fish. Puget sound rockfish can also be used as bait for larger rockfish, lingcod or cabezon. Source: https://www.fishbase.se/summary/Sebastes-emphaeus.html
