Information on Blue Shark
The blue shark (Prionace glauca) exists across the planet, inhabiting deep, cool waters throughout temperate and tropical oceans. The species is generally seen as lethargic, when needed they are fast sprinters. Their preferred food is small fish and squid, but are also known for capturing larger prey. For anglers, blue shark is a popular species to target and can be eaten, however it is not commonly used as human food.
