Atlantic Sharpnose Shark

Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks are relatively small compared to other shark species, reaching a maximum length of 1.2 m (4 ft), and have long, pointed snouts with labial folds around the mouth. They vary in shades of grey, often tinged with olive, blue, or brown, and have lighter white undersides. They are found in the western Atlantic Ocean, from New Brunswick, Canada, through the Gulf of Mexico and along the coast of Brazil. They feed primarily on small fish and invertebrates such as shrimp and molluscs.
