2024 New Brunswick Multispecies Scramble

Dates

  • Starts – 1 April 2024

  • Ends - 15 Nov 2024

 

Location

  • Any body of water legal for fishing throughout New Brunswick only.

 

Registration

  • Registration must be paid in full including the online registration fee ($12.00) for Angler’s Atlas in order to enter fish. 

 

  • Registration fee is $285 per person, (plus $12.00) for the My Catch App paid when joining the tournament on the app itself). The balance of fees is to be paid via e-transfer of $285 to [email protected]  (Ensure its .ca not .com)

  • The $285 will be divided up between 7 categories. $50 from each entry fee will automatically go to the Muskie category for most muskie caught and $200 will be divided up between 6 other categories each being the one biggest fish caught for that category. The remaining $35 per person will go towards the purchase of trophies. Any money left after the trophies are purchased, we will either have an accumulative length prize of each species you caught or we may put the remainder towards prizes and everyone gets a ticket when they join and at the end, tickets are pulled from a hat. First one drawn gets pick of prizes and so on until everyone gets a prize.

 

  • Registration for this event will begin between Jan 1, 2024 and up to and including anytime throughout the tournament (must be paid in full before you will be given the link to join the tournament. If you register for the event after the event starts, you will have to wait 24 hours before you can enter your first catch.

 

Pictures

All photos must depict the following or will not be counted:



  • The fish must be placed on the measuring board with the right side of the fish facing down.

  • The picture must clearly show both ends of the fish in correspondence to the measuring device being used and the nose of the fish must be pressed against the end of the board. You must have an approved bumpboard, no home-made painted boards.

  • Pictures which are in question as to the length due to a poor photo, will be accepted or rejected by (Ray Leblanc as he is the APP Overlord) Photos must be taken with the app, if not they will not be uploaded or used.

  • Hero photo shots are an option using the My Catch App.

 

Details/Rules:

  • Any late entries will be announced as they join.

  • All members must send their phone number and email address to Ray LeBlanc, at: (506) 471-2452.

  • This App will allow all members to follow and view the status of all those entered in the tournament at any time throughout the season.

  • The event begins first light (5:00 am), 1 April and ends last light 15 Nov.

  • Once the event ends, the winner will be announced that evening 15 Nov. Followed by a get together at (LOCATION and TIME TO BE DETERMINED) where we will have a potluck dinner/BBQ TBC;

 

Prizes

  • The Muskie category is for the most fish entered. 1st place receives a large trophy that the individual gets to keep for 1 full year, which comes with a full year of bragging rights as the Top Angler for Muskie, as well as a small trophy to keep.  Depending on the amount of people entered the cash prize may vary. The $50 per person will be added up and 2/3 will go to first and 1/3 to second place only for this category. (Ray Leblanc will again be defending his win from last year);

  • $ 200 from the entry fees will be divided up between the remaining 6 categories and each category will receive the cash and a small trophy for that category being the overall longest fish. (Keep in mind you can win multiple categories)

  • In the case of a tie, the tie break will go to the person who entered the tied fish first. If a tie still exists, the tie break will go to the person with the highest number of fish reported.

If the total registration money is based on 10 people, total prize pool is $2850

  • 1st place Muskie division $333

  • 2nd place Muskie division $166

 

  • Longest Smallmouth division $333

  • Longest Largemouth division $333

  • Longest Sturgeon Division $333

  • Longest Brook trout Division$333

  • Longest Striped Bass Division $333

  • Longest Pickerel Division $333
