Tachick and Nulki Lakes are only twenty minutes from town and are very productive waters. Tachick Lake Resort offers a boat launch and worms, along with great accommodations.

Knewstubb Lake is part of the Nechako Reservoir, south of Vanderhoof. This large inland reservoir has been referred to as a "sea of lakes". Be part of the action around Nechako Lodge near Kenney Dam, or get away from it all further down the lake. Rainbow trout and kokanee can be found there, by fly or by lure. Check out the full accommodations at Nechako Lodge.
