If you make it out to this lake try fishing where fairy creek flows into the lake or where granite creek flows in. Either spot is great for fishing all times of the year as cutthroat as big as 18 inches have been pulled from there. In the summer months if you are up earlier and have a boat use the channel to get into the river where the action is hot till about 8 am and starts back up around 9 pm. It is not unusual to see big fish crusing around in the river close to the surface, so be careful on your approat to make sure you don’t spoke them. There is a rearing grounds channel in the river for fry to hide on high water, work near the trees with a spinner and within a few cast you should have your first cutthroat. I will add some pictures in a week or so from this lake.
