FISH category
So many big fish and so few prizes. We could easily have expanded this category five fold and still not covered all the great shots submitted. It was a struggle choosing the best fish, but in the end these are the five we selected.

Submitted by: tmmccaff I'm sure glad lingcod taste better than they look. As fun as it was to catch this beauty, it sure is an ugly fish. |

Submitted by: beez A 72 pound Chinook we landed near Stuart Island this September. 45 minute fight and fish of a lifetime. I hate to admit it but there were tears! |

A whale of a fish |

Submitted by: SharonLisette 171 pound halibut caught in McIntyre Bay, just offshore from Massett. This monster was caught in about 40 feet of water and took about 20 minutes to pull him up. As you can see, I'm small (100 pounds). My husband our friend had to harpoon him when he got to the surface and I just collapsed onto the floor of the boat. When they pulled the fish in beside me, I couldn't stop laughing!! |
