Submitted by: bowserbill While fishing on Spider Lake Vancouver Island, B. C. a bald eagle spotted my buddy Wayne Duke playing a 15 inch rainbow. He swooped down from his tree and came up behind Wayne with his landing gear down. I hollered to him that the eagle was just over his shoulder and he ducked to get out of the way. The eagle came over his shoulder, took the rainbow in his tallons and flew away while still attached to his fly line. Needless to say his tippet broke and the eagle had his meal. The timing of this picture worked well. |
