Island is called rock island. Many many walleye can be caught in the 10 to 15 feet deep areas around island. In very early spring fish can bee seen spawing along shores.

Jumbo perch in early to mid winter. low oxygen will cause fish to rise later in the year. Mealworms and plain hook near bottom work best. Slow fishing but jumbo perch. 12” plus

Mud flats contain large pike and many spawning whites in late feb early march. Watch thin ice and use tipups with heavy line for pike.

East of this point in winter is VERY dangerous as plant makes ice VERY thin. Unsafe for vehicles.
