This lake is far from being over fished for ling cod (Burbot) The fact of the Matter is ...there are just too many people fishing too few spot's..!! Go out and try different area's!! Did you know ..?? that the female Burbot lays well over a million egg's?? you do the math .. .. and burnt wood, or Charcoal has absolutly no negative effects on fish.!! unless your Mining it from around the lake!! burnt charcoal from wood fires is 100% Biodegradable..!! and acts as a filter in water..and i do believe you submitted this post in the wrong place..!! lol Tight Lines!! SNUPEE!! this lake is fished to heavy in the winter and jackasses keep building fires on the lake which is killing the ling cod maybe they should dress a little warmer or stay home

Ice Fishing

Not catching many Ling this year, water is very murky, worse at Yipps than west Moberly, Ice is 24” and I have been driving my 5500lb jeep out there with no problems Caught 4 this weekend ranging from 4-6lbs

Whats The Ice Looking Like This Year

Trolling this shoreline east,and west..being careful to stay in a depth no more than 20 ft..and no less than 8 ft.. can pay off..IF!! you have patience.!!
