About Maps

The Angler's Atlas Maps

The fishing maps produced by the Angler's Atlas are designed to be downloaded from our web site and then printed on regular letter size paper. The map files are saved in Adobe's PDF format which is available on most computers already. You can also download the software at no charge from Adobe's web site.

The Angler's Atlas has two types of maps - FREE Maps available to all members and maps available only through SUBSCRIPTION.

Free Maps

This section includes our popular depth charts which showcase thousands of lakes across British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario.

Map Store

At the moment, our Map Store offers members two types of maps, a subscription service and bathymetric maps for GPS units. The subscription service is geared towards the fly fisher and profiles lakes and rivers across British Columbia, and includes back issues of our newspaper map program which appears in community newspapers around British Columbia. The subscription is available on an annual basis and is $20 (CDN).

The GPS maps are prepared by Navionics Inc. and are part of their HotMaps series of fishing charts. Chips are suitable for multiple types of GPS handheld units and chart plotters. Click to see compatible manufacturers.

Last Word

We have tried to design our site so that anglers can get to their maps as easily as possible but there are a few things to keep in mind.

  • Before getting a map you need to login with the username and password that you signed up with.
  • Some map files are large and will take several minutes to download on a slow modem.

If you need to know more, just send an email to mail@anglersatlas.com.

Enjoy the Maps!
